....the bowl is sagging. I hope it's not another plate by tomorrow!
We got the "tablecloth" on. It was a huge deal and Scott helped me. It wasn't as good as I wanted it to be, but oh well. The really bad part is in the back icon_smile.gif
The bowl looks good unfilled, but then it started to sag. I guess it's too late to do anything about it now, but I'd love any tips of dealing with those ball pans. Yeesh.

I just have to put the "meatballs" and sauce on and then I guess I'm done. Wheeeee!

question hun, what kind of cake did you use in the ball pan. Shaped cakes need to have a more dense consistency than round or flat cakes. You might try a pound cake next time hun. If you already haven't used one.

I used a doctored yellow cake. Apparently, not dense enough.

That is an awesome cake! I too would have used a pound cake or you could have supported it with some dowels or toothpicks.

Did it start to sag when you added the noodles? If so maybe next time put a few dowels in it and a small cake circle on top before putting the noodles on. The weight may have just been too much on top. HTH

I put alittle wedge of fondant under the front to raise it a little, then I'll just put a pile of spaghetti on the plate so it covers it icon_smile.gif
I LOVE cakes that you can use icing to disguise.

The bowl sagged a bit overnight, but with all the noodles and such, it looks just fine.
I posted the completed photos in the Decorating forum!
Thanks everyone!
