Have any of you noticed that your cookies have a slightly bitter taste when using an edible image? I have been using them for a long time & have always thought they change the taste. I thought my images & ink might be getting old but used new this time and they still taste bitter. Thanks.

I'd try a taste of one before you put it on the cookie. If it tastes bitter, it would be the culprit. I've never had edible images effect the taste of anything I've added them too. I've even tasted scraps of the frosting sheets just to see what they were like and they taste pretty neutral...hint of sweetness that you can barely taste. If yours do taste bitter, maybe using a different brand might help.

I've never noticed a bitter taste, but do think they are pretty yucky. I use a nice coat of tub icing to place images on my cookies. Then they taste just fine. I've never had a complaint and I just made over 100 imaged cookies this past week.

I've never noticed a taste. I've gotten great reviews on my image cookies so far. Just got another order or photo cookie favors today from my last batch!
