OK, I am getting ready to try my first FBCT. My question is this, once you have placed the frozen piece on your cake, if your cake isn't served right away, does the FBCT then soften back to normal BC consistency? I guess what I'm really asking is can you cut through it without it cracking and ruining the rest of the design?

That's exactly right. Once the FBCT is on the cake, it will soften back up to regular bc consistency and will cut just like the rest of the cake.

Word of caution, it softens up FAST, so try to get it on the cake where you want it as quickly as possible. It softens in a matter of minutes because it's so thin.

Have fun!
