I just tried this recipe from Paula Deen and it is really very good - even with out icing. Just thought I would share. it is her 1-2-3-4 cake

I had a "cake tasting" a couple of months ago to try to determine my "standard" recipes. Paula's 1234 was one of the yellow cakes I made. It was a little denser than I prefer, but it did taste good, that's for sure.
