Does anyone know what the stuff called Dream Whip is? Is that what you use to make the icing that is lighter than buttercream? If it is, where can I get some?

I get Dream Whip at Wal-mart. It's on the aisle with the baking goods, usually on the shelf above the powdered sugar. It comes in a box, I think 4 or 6 packages to a box. Hope this helps!

I usually find it in the grocery store, in the pudding aisle. Here's a picture of the box. I'm sure it would be cheaper at Wal-Mart, mine does not carry it icon_sad.gif

This is off of Kraft's website:

With Dream Whip Topping Mix in your cupboard, you never need to go without a topping! Dream Whip is a powdered dessert topping mix that is ready in 4 minutes. It is prepared by adding ½ cup of cold milk and ½ tsp of vanilla and whipped until light and fluffy

Yes, that is what I used it for...it made a lighter tasting buttercream. Almost whipped like...

I also use it in my Tiramisu Cake recipe in place of whipping cream to cut down on the fat content.
