I was in the bookstore killing time yesterday and found this book, "Pretty Party Cakes: Sweet and Stylish Cakes and Cookies for All Occasions by Peggy Porschen.

I was very impressed with this book and thought I would bring it to everyone's attention. Her cakes and cookies were so beautifully decorated and all included with step-by-step instructions with photos to accompany. Not only is it informative, but it has some great tips included, for example, when doing dots on a cake, one way to prevent getting the "nipples" when you pull off the tip (besides playing with the thinness of the icing) is to take a paintbrush dipped in water and brush the dot into a perfect circle.

I highly recommend this book, great inspiration and instructions.
