It's probably obvious, I am planning a party and have one more question... I think it was on the Sugarcraft site that I saw stand-up place cards made from cookies. It looked like they used one of those plastic cones that you slip on helium-filled balloons, before you tie them off, to keep them steady (hope that describes what I am thinking about well enough?) Anyone know? detective.gif

I've seen tiny easels sold in bulk for this purpose. Don't remember which website offhand, but it was one of the more popular sites many CC folks use.

I forgot to add... I realize on this site the cookies look to be standing up but it is actually the reflection of the cookie on whatever surface they were using. On the site I looked at earlier (kicking myself for not bookmarking it) the placecards were rectangle and they had some cone-like base on them. I thought they were plastic?!?

maybe you could bake a small triangle and "glue" it to the backs of the placecards with royal as a built in stand

This is what I was thinking too or maybe use a Wilton candy disc as a base?!? Thanks anyway to anyone who read this.

why not try a 'corner' shaped cookie (an uneven triangle shape) and use icing to 'glue' it to the back of the decorated cookie. It should prop it up just fine and you wouldn't have to go buy anything extra.
Hope I've described what I mean okay.

I THINK I WOULD MAKE THE LITTLE EASEL OUT OF ROYAL FROSTING JUST A Y SHAPE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN AND GLUE TO THE COOKIE.OR FINISH YOUR COOKIES AND RUN A DOUBLE LINE ON THE BOTTOM OF ROYAL FROSTING AND SET FLAT.I HAVE DONE THIS WITH GINGERBREAD SHAPES TO SET BY A HOUSE.
