I make the same cookie recipe all the time. Just the past few weeks with the weather changing, My cookies come out of the oven fine but then turn so soft that it is hard to decorate them!!!

What can I do to stop this? We keep the Air conditioner on but that is not helping!!

My cookies soften, but not to the point they can't be decorated. I use the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe, and cut them 1/4 inch thick. Actually, I like them to soften. I usually don't eat them until the next day when they've softened a little. It's one reason I use a softer icing on them...I want them to get real nice and tender. icon_smile.gif So, I'm no help. But, back to your question...it just seems to happen for me. No matter what time of year or how I store them.

Ok- I guess I feel better now to know that it is not just my cookies. When they get soft like this, I seem to break them as I try to decorate them.

Thanks
