Whats the trick??? I'm trying to get the mmf to stick to the papertowel rolls for my castle towers. I get it on and then it looks lumpy and distorted.

You might try dampening, ever so slightly the side of the fondant you're putting against the roll. Lay the roll down and allow it to dry, be sure to move it so it doesn't have a flat side. The drying, laying down, need only be a few minutes, then stand it up again, and you shouldn't have any problems with it slipping down and causing wrinkles. HTH

I used royal icing to attach my fondant to the rolls.

Whenever I did mine, I would have the same problem. Once your fondant is on, which I'd attach mine with a touch of vanilla, you just have to take the time to smooth with your hands. It's a time consuming process, but good results. good luck!

Thanks everyone for all your help!! I have tried using water on the tower to attach fondant and it helped and I also spent more time smoothing out all the wrinkles....they looks lots better and that is alot of work!! Thanks again!
