A souped up white DH cake with white chocolate pudding mix??? I put one together adding the extra egg and using milk and after it was done i coudln't taste the white chocolate at all??? And the mix seemed really dryish...? Anybody?
I've made the dh white cake with jello white chocolate instant pudding and it turned out fine. I don't add anything extra though. I don't think you could really taste the white chocolate, but I was going for texture (moist yet firm) and no coloring.
I would try it again, it should have been fine.
The white chocolate pudding doesn't seem to add much flavor to the mix. I use it mostly to enhance a white cake mix, make it go a bit further without making the batter yellow. If you want a better white chocolate flavor, maybe look into the oil flavorings and see if they make a white chocolate one.
I know the cake mix doctor book has a white chocolate pound cake recipe in it that uses 6 oz of melted white chocolate in it. That might help enhance the flavor too. I would add it along with the white chocolate pudding mix and the white cake mix. I don't know the recipe of the top of my head. I think its on pages 58-59 though. (I only know the pages because someone told me where the recipe was when I was looking for it...I didn't commit the recipe to memory though).
