looking for some ideas, its not a cap and gown...

hey! i read your post looking for ideas. i am graduating 8th grade and if it was for me, i would want it colorful. also, you could decorate it with stars and swirls. but again this is just what i would want. and im sorry if the cake is for a boy, i can't really help you there. i know you probably have way better ideas than me and you are probably more expirenced but i thought you might want a kid's perspective. i hope i was of some help!
