While in an antique store in PA over the weekend, Iwent to the book section to see if there was anything on cake decorating. What I found was the 1967 edition of "Wilton's Wonderland of Cake Decorating" (for $icon_cool.gif and the 1976 Yearbook ($3). both books have so much information, alot more than the more recent yearbooks, and I also found it interesting the buttercream recipe in the bok. Their original buttercream recipes have evaporated milk in them! Will have to try it. They also keep referring to a book "Homemaker's Encyclopedia of Modern Cake Decorating" when discussing techniques they are not going to show in this book, and they show alot of techniques, including sugar molding in this particular book. My DH sees no reason to have these, but I find them very inteesting and teh "Wonderland" book actually has pics and background on the both Mr. Wilton's. Now I want to find that "encyclopedia" to see what things it pesented. Has anyone found old books like this, and found them to be interesting also?

I have the entire Wilton Way of Cake Decorating "encyclopedias", volumes 1,2,3 plus all the pattern books. I own the Wilton Celebrate series, volumes 1-6, plus all the pattern books. I have several of the older, single volume books, like the one you describe to us. I bought them all on eBay, and love them all dearly. I believe that you cannot be an expert in in any field unless you are willing to experience it's history. My next goal -- The Lambeth Method!

I've always been interested in getting some of these older Wilton books. I've been outbid several times on ebay (don't want to pay an arm and a leg!).
Hey ..I'm in New Jersey, too. Used to live in Beachwood...we were practically neighbors.

My husband just bought me the Lambeth Method book. I have some old Wilton yearbooks for sale if anyone is interested. My husband was buying all these books and getting 2 of all of them. I had to put a stop to him buying anymore.
