Has anyone tried making daffodils using bc icing, our wilton teacher showed us using only royal icing, which I don't like, it just gets to hard. Thanks in advance for any help.

You can make them with BC but make sure your icing is pretty stiff and let it dry a little and then pinch the petals a little, then put it on the cake. Our instructor showed us that it can be done you just have to let it dry a little while before putting it on the cake.

It works with buttercream and a little tip that helps is to put corn starch on your fingertips before you pinch the petals. It helps to prevent them from sticking to the frosting.
