I am looking for a great, buttery, yellow cake recipe. I have the perfect icing for it--just need to find a cake. Have used Duncan Hines yellow cake mix, but want to know if there is something better.

are you looking for a scratch recipe if not I use a doctored recipe and I think it is very good and moist.
1 box cake mix
1 box instant pudding mix ( with yellow cake I use vanilla pudding mix)
4 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup veg. oil
1/2 cup warm water
