Bav Creme From The Sleeve & Refrigeration.....

Help?
I made a french vanilla cake last night with the bavarian creme filling that comes in the plastic sleeve. I meant to put it in the fridge before I went to bed, but forgot- will it be safe to eat it?
TIA
The cake does NOT need to be refrigerated. The fillings in the sleeves do not have anything in them that will go bad. That's the beauty of these fillings. I've used them numerous times. They are wonderful....
Thank you sooo much- I was so worried about this - I didn't want to start all over- it is a birthday cake for my Step Daughter's 18th birthday- she has never had anyone make a cake for her birthday & I am doing it in pink buttercream with a white pearlized fondant bow and fondant pearls. This one is my smoothest buttercream yet, and I was on almost a "high" last night because of how it looked, then when I woke up this morning to it still on the counter, I could have died- thank you for letting me know this one will be good. Now, if my first ever fondant bow turns out ok, I will be good!
Yep..I second that! I used the bavarian filling last week in my dogwood cake and it was kept out two days without refrigeration. They loved it and said it tasted great! I am loving the idea of these fillings!
Rodneyck,
The Bavarian Creme we are referring to is the store bought kind you get in cake supply stores in the plastic sleeve- they are actually quite delicious as fillings for both chocolate and french vamilla cakes. I haven't tried them with any other cake flavors, as the people who have had my cakes keep requesting the ones they've had! Some of the recipes on this site for home-made bav. creme sound delish too!
Thanks Kerri, good to know. Those recipes do sound good. I may try one in my next cake.
