AACK!! I am making icing-mostly for roses and I added m. powder, which I usually don't use. I put it in will all the other ingredients at the start, instead of whipping it with water. So, will the icing turn out ok? Is it best to not use it for frosting the cake, just to be safe-just use for roses? I need red roses and didn't want them to bleed!
Thanks so much! icon_smile.gif

That's how I usually do it; no problems thus far!

It depends on how much meringue powder that you used. And it also depends on if you made royal or buttercream icing? If you made buttercream, you can use it to ice the cake with too. If you made royal, I would not ice the cake with it as it gets really hard when it is dry. The royal is great for the roses if you want them to really get hard after you make them. The buttercream ones will harden but not as much. Good luck. I learned this with practice on making the icings.
