Hello,

I will be doing a baby shower cake next week! Here's my peoblem. It's for a friend of mine and all the info I got was it will be a boy and be creative. I asked her a few questions and am awaiting a reply. The vague-ness is really challenging but I have no idea what to do. I know there will be about 20 people there and I got a 11x15 rectangle pan. Another kicker, if it is, is I will be transporting the cake to Chicago, about six hours from my house. My friend lives in Indiana. I hope I explained my problem. Any ideas would be most helpful!

Joe

I am doing a baby shower cake tomorrow that is for a boy, I'm making it a double layer 10" square but it has a fondant blanket, a baby rattle that was fashioned from fondant and a couple babies just in thier diapers, also made from fondant.....on the blanket it's going to say "It's a Boy".....not terribly involved but sweet, in case you'd like to do something like that.

I've made a baby shower cake that seemed to be a hit at baby showers and have had many orders for them. It's a baby carriage. I have a pic of it in my photos. I thought it was cute *shrug*

I'm making a baby shower cake tomorrow too. The only info I got was that it will be a girl. I decide to do the clothesline cake. I've been wanting to do one...I hope it comes out as good as these.

Here's a couple of graphics I've kept, thinking they would make a nice cake decoration, simple but pretty cute. Janice

I've made a baby rattle cake, using pyrex bowls and a loaf pan. If you look in my photos you can see pic. You could make this for a boy very easily and it travels well, on a flat board. Also, if you want to make the baby carriage cake, I've made the one using a large round pan, carving out a triangle for the opening, and it also travels very well. Either cake can be decorated for a boy or girl.

Here's a cute cake that you can make with your 11x15 cake pan. Its really cute. You can buy the edible baby layons to put in each square on the cake.

Since its for a boy I wouldn't use any pink icing. Take a look!

I'm liking this one:

I have a lot of candy molds I bought for our baby shower. My personal fav is the diaper on a stick. I wanted to use them for a game. I was gonna make one all chocolate and whoever found the "dirty diaper" won a prize. thumbs_up.gif The ladies in charge shot my game down. thumbsdown.gif

Thanks for all the ideas!! You guys/gals are the greatest!!! icon_biggrin.gif

Maybe if you add a colored border to this one...
