I have a cake that I'm thinking of doing a tropical filling. I posted for recipe ideas last week.
Now, I found some interesting products and don't know exactly how to turn them into a filling.
I have coconut pudding (instant), pineapple preserves, and mango.

How do I go about it? i should I just make a buttercream and add some, or make a pudding type thing? It has to be stiff because it's going to hold alot of baby weight icon_smile.gif

I would suggest that you sift the coconut pudding into your PS before adding it to the fat and liquid. The pineapple preserves and mango can be layered on top of that. Just apply thin layers of each, instead of one thick layer, of filling. If your cake has three layers per tier, alternate pineapple and bc between the first two and mango and bc between the other two. You may need to add a bit more liquid to the BC to accommodate the pudding, as it will soak up any liquid available.
