im delivering my first paid order wedding cake and grooms cake and have some last minute questions

1. if i ice with buttercream on thursday, can they sit out? im pretty sure the answer is yes, but i want reassurance!

2. the bride wants rose petals sprinkled on the tiers, i was going to lay down wax paper between the tiers to keep the flowers off the cake. will the wax paper pull up the icing when they take it apart?

3. its a 12, 9, and 6 would you stack before we travel three hours, or stack at the site?

Which BC recipe icing are you using? If it's IMBC/SMBC it needs to be refrigerated. If it's the Crisco/shortening one, then you should be okay. Assuming your filling isn't something that needs to be refrigerated. Putting wax paper down might cause moisture underneath which would pull up the icing when removing. If it's just sprinkled rose petals, it's probably okay to not put the wax paper. I would probably assemble when I got there. 3 hours is a bit of a distance. You never know if you'll have to slam on the brakes or something. I usually deliver assembled (with a central dowel) but I might reconsider if I was delievering 3 hours away! This way you can have the chance to touch up anything that needs it.
