How Would I Make These Stars? :)
Decorating By AmberCakes Updated 9 May 2006 , 11:07pm by AmberCakes
These are awesome stars on the cake! I love them. But, how would I go about making them. I have kinda an idea-just guessing but not sure. I think they are fondant cut out stars then colored somehow with dusting powders then maybe dusted with a glitter dusting powder. I don't know! LOL.
Does anyone else know how can I achieve the stars? Thanks!

Did you upload a picture? I can not see a picture. If not what stars are you talking about?
Sorry, ya'll! I did forget to add it and then I could not find it. Sorry it took so long. It's up there now.
Someone posted this question a few days ago about stars on top of a cake. Search the forum for the answer. In a nutshell, insert wire into a fondant star then let it dry. Then you can use luster dust, etc to get your shine.
The stars on the cake look like they are fondant dusted with lustre dust. The ones above the cake are probably Color Flo done on wires. I've seen a cake that looks like this in a cake decorating book somewhere....and if I remember correctly, that was how it said to do it.
Hope this helps
I think it looks like fondant rolled very thin on the cake. It does not look like they are three demisional that's why I say its rolled very thin. Then they paint it with extract and luster dust mixed.
Thanks for replying ya'll. I forgot to mention that it's the side stars I liked. But, I will save the insructions ya'll put. Thanks again for ya'lls time.
