My sister's baby shower is in July and I am planning on making mini cookie bouquets as favors.
Two questions
First - how many cookies do you think should be included? Is 3 too little or 5 too many? I have at least five baby themed cookie cutters, so that's not a problem at all.

Second - what should I use as a container?
I was originally thinking I would get those cute little buckets Target always has in the dollar bin. But, there will be about 50 people coming and I can't afford the cost of making all those cookies plus $50 for containers (especially when I add up what I'm spending to make invitations, centerpieces, the cake, food, and all the other stuff).

Any ideas are appreciated!

Cathy

Cathy,

Yes that can get pretty expensive. why don't you make just one cookie for each person as a favor and put them in baggies with a pretty ribbon. If you still like the look of the bouquets, place a couple for centerpieces.

I would use tin cans..do 3 cookies...sit it all in one of the cookie treat bags from the Doillar Tree..you get 30 for a buck.Tie it with ribbon and attach a little card that says"Welcome Baby Smith".Not much cost to these.I have made 100's of items this way.Hope that helps.

I think the color cups for parties aren't very expensive either if you still want todo the 3 flowers. They have them at Wal-mart in plain colors about 8 per pack. The look strong enough to hold very good. they are carton cups. The cookie in a bag is SOO cuite, I would personally go with that one. Do you make chocolate lollypops? those are very neat option also.
