Hi Ya'll,

Well these are my questions--If I cover the cake in coconut pecan filling/icing, whill the ganache stick to it? Will the texture of the icing show through the ganache? Will the flavor be too much? I am going to try to decorate with MMF yellow roses. I made the first batch last night.

Opinions and advice please! German chocolate is MIL favorite. The coconut pecan is what she likes best about the cake. I was hoping to be impressive for Mother's Day.

Thank you for any help, suggestions and advice!
Charli

I'm not sure how great the ganache would cover the pecan frosting. Personally, I would FILL it with the pecan frosting and ice with the ganache. Any way you decide to do it, will no doubt be delicious!
