I've been really wanting to try this cake, but haven't had an occassion to try it. Well, I made it for my birthday today, lol. It's a little sloppy, but I've learned a lot for next time. Thanks for looking.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! It really sucks that you had to make your own cake, but it turned out great!

Thank you all. I had difficulty with painting the logos on. I made stencils, but it was messier than I thought it would be. Also the metal parts look copper, I used gold luster dust. I tried it on white fondant and on chocolate, does anyone have any ideas on how to make them look "gold"? On the chocolate it looks copper. On white it looks like a shiny yellow. And my last problem was the soft handles. I was going to keep them down, but I couldn't get them to stay so I propped them up with toothpicks. Any advice is much appreciated!!

Looks awesome! And Happy B-day one day late=) I have read on here that members will color their fondant(or whatever medium you want to use) as close to a gold color first, then use the gold luster dust over the top of the colored fondant. I haven't tried it myself, but there were quite a few discussions on it a couple months back that I read=) Jen
