I have frozen cakes before up to 3 months and they have been fine afterwards.

Now, I have one square tier that was lefotver that I froze back in November 2005, so its been frozen about 5 months.

How long again is it that we can freeze a cake and it be okay after we defrost it?

Okay, I got an answer to my own question.

I was searching on the net and found this neat little chart.

Source: http://www.oznet.k-state.edu/humannutrition/hrap/storage/freezsto.htm#6

It tells yow how long to store in the freezer different kind of cakes, cookies, breads, etc..

So my yellow cake is still good and I will defrost this weekend, soak in simple syrup and decorate. YEAH!!! thumbs_up.gif
