I am in the process of doing a flip flop cake and cut the flip flops out last night. I was thinking of making a decent sized palm tree to put with them but haven't a clue how to get the curve or support good enough.

Any suggestions would be great!!!

I made some using large pretzel rods, melted chocolate and fondant leaves. You can see the pictures in my album. It was pretty easy and pretty sturdy.
Another option, more 2D, is to do a chocolate transfer and do the image both ways (one in reverse) and then seal them together with chocolate.

I made some by putting a marshmallow on top of a pretzel rod. I then used bc to and attached the leaves to the marshmallow. Started from the bottom and worked up.
