I just have a question about cake balls -first off, oh I'm so grateful for this site- there is so much to learn and how to this and how to that lol- and I was stumped what to do to make mini soccer balls myself without having access to mini round pans, so my ingenious idea was to put two cupcakes together, but too much icing required to stick them together and round them out - didnt want all that extra sweetness with rolled fondant going on top lol- so thankful for these forums, and the search option, and that I'm not the only one with this dilemna- thanks for leading me to the cake ball idea!
So question, since I've never heard of cake balls (yeah I know, what's wrong with me lol), and so what do they look like when someone's taking a bite out of one? Are they decent looking inside? I mean or do they look like regular baked slice of cake on the inside or like regurgitated/churned cake (that has been through the mixer) lol (maybe someone has a pic of cross section of a cake ball they can post? Maybe that's asking a lot lol, the soccer balls I'm making are the focal point of the whole party though, so I don't want em to look gross inside lol

Thanks to all you professional and non professional people with insight and great ideas, and vast experiences to share with us- it's much appreciated icon_smile.gif
