I am planning on my first MMF decorated cake in the next couple of days.
My question is how do I get the decorations to stick on the cake? I was thinking of doing some swags, and I dont want them to fall off on me.

I have searched for a while but didnt find the answer I am looking for.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Buttercream or royal icing should work.

Will the cake be covered in mmf? If so all you need to use is a little water on the back of your decorations to attach them to the cake. mmf is pretty sticky so the water will work great.

I did fondant swags on a small wedding cake. Between each swag, I placed a rose bud secured with buttercream and a small pick. thumbs_up.gif
