I have to tell you how much I am annoyed at the moment. I baked a 10 x 15 marble sheet cake...let it cool for 10 minutes, went to flip it to cool on the rack and the darn cake wouldn't release. Instead half the cake is on the rack and the other half still in the pan icon_mad.gif

Guess it is back to the drawing board for me... icon_evil.gif

I´m so sorry to hear this happened to you.... did you use a cake release or anything for that matter?
Cheer up and good luck!

What did you use in your pan to keep it from sticking?

Try parchment underneath the batter next time.

Sorry to hear of your problem but this is how we learn. I always no matter how big the cake( ok I dont do this in the 6 inch pans) I use parchment in the bottom. I also only spray the sides with any kind of oil/flour spary. I have found if you spay the bottoms and put in your parchent sometimes it will want to stick, so I only spray the sides. I dont let mine sit that long either, when the cake has pulled away from the sides its ready to come out. Hope this helps some, Sandy

I really really recommend parchment to line the bottom of all cakes. I coat the pan and then I also coat the parchment with release. It also helps to hold the cake together.
