Wow amazing JanH. Thanks so much for all the links.
Thanks to Feefs for starting this thread.
Feefs,
Rice Krispy treats are a basic staple in America!
I use the microwave method, and it is VERY QUICK. I once made them right before heading to a party to which I wanted to bring something.
Just an addition- I've made cakes for class out of rice krispy treats, then covered with buttercream and fondant. And let me tell you, for some reason the combonation tasted really good. Something about the chewy fondant, the creamy frosting and the crunchy rice krispy treats. I don't know, but it was good.
OOHH!! an edible cake dummy. Great idea! I'll have to try it. I LOVES 'em rice crispie treats!!
I used crispy treats for the lid of a treasure chest I did for our church... so much cake left over, they served left overs for the youth group days later. I then later learned the kids ate the lid wasn't really thinking about them eating it, what with the buttercream and fondant on it but they loved it, of course kids will eat anything sweet. Must've been hard as a rock tho
Like the idea of using for a cake dummy tho.
Jan to the rescue again I have to make some rkt duck and Lala (teletubby) heads so this is totally awesome - thanks muchly
