I have a cake due for tomorrow, rush order kind of thing and she wants a white mmf three tier but she wants that kind of chocolate drizzle over the top of each tier...is that just melted chocolate or is it that hard shell icecream stuff? It looks like it hardens quickly because the drips only run 1/4 way down the cake??? I wish I had a pic.. Any one out htere know what recipie to use or if its just melted choc????? Thanks so much for your time!!!!

what about candy melts of some kind? they dry really fast and are easy to use. Just melt the little disks in a disposable decorator bag.

it is ganache

8oz heavey cream
1tbsp butter
1oz sugar
12oz chocolate

break chocolate into 1/2oz pieces and place in stainless steel bowl. heat cream, butter and sugar to boiling. pour over chocolate and let stand 5 minuets. stir from center out until smooth.

Duncan Hines has a meltable icing that won't run too fast and stiffens quickly.

I used ganache on the anniversary cake in my pix. It is really good and drizzled nicely, also.
So, I agree with alracntna.
