Hi!
I am new to your forum and have been lurking around for awhile trying to take in all the ideas and suggestions from others. This site is awesome!!
I need a suggestion on what to make for a bake sale. They are trying to raise money for a Breast Cancer awareness walk and I want to make something great for the cause that will generate some additional funds.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!
Peggy
Depending on whether you have enough time, I have seen online a cookie cutter of the awareness ribbon. You could ice it pink.
or you could do cupcakes and cookies, even petit fours with a hand drawn pink ribbon on them.
I have made "whoopie pies" for bake sales, and they are good sellers. You wrap them in saran wrap after you make them, so they're already packaged and ready to sell!
Or you could make several single layer 6" cakes, ice them smooth with white icing and then make pink ribbons with a ribbon tip.
I bake some 6" cakes for a bake sale for a fundraiser associated with work. They are posted on this site, click on the photos button on the bottom of my reply.
Welcome Peggy! In the Cake Mix Doctor book is a recipe for Cookie Pops that I think would be great for a bake sale. They're real easy to make and taste great. You could wrap them in cellophane tied with a pink ribbon.
I made these for Christmas one year. I rolled each cookie in red and green jimmies before flattening them onto the cookie sheet. I also put a sugar decor in the center of each one. When they cooled, I painted the backs with melted chocolate and pushed some of the backs into crushed nuts before the chocolate hardened. They looked great.
