Hi! I'm going to make my 2nd ever atomic cake (using box mixes). If I use 1 white mix for 2 of the layers, can I just add 1/4 cup of cocoa powder to half of it to make one of the layers chocolate? or will that ruin the texture/consistincy? Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

I don't think just adding cocoa to white mix will taste great. I've never tried it though. bump...

I doubt 1/4 cup cocoa powder is enough to make a layer chocolate. Cocoa powder in a large enough quantity is going to shift your batter toward a drier consistency. I'd be more inclined to try a couple envelopes of the liquid baking chocolate.
