I don't have the instructions, but think this will be a great cake. Can't wait to see what it looks like.

I made one of those cakes not to long ago. To make the flowers I just used the largest Wilton lilly nail with orangy-red RI and basically made the petunia that I learned in the Wilton course 3 class.

For the palm tree I got a palm leaf template from the internet. Just google palm leaf image. Then I rolled green gumpaste very thin and cut out the leaves using the template with an xacto knife. Then I let the leaves dry on the back of the large flower formers (wilton). I made about 7 leaves. When the leaves were dry I took 3 of them and glued them together with RI then I took 3 more and glued them on placing facial tissue under the top 3. Then you can either use a large pretzel stick or one of the perotte (sp?) cookies to attach the leaves to. Let it dry upside down.

I did have a problem with the tree though, the leaves kept falling off or breaking. It was very fragile!

I know there are other ways to do the palm tree. One of them is make the leaves out of RI instead of gumpast. The 2007 or 2006 Wilton yearbook has instructions on how to do that.

I hope my insturctions made sense. I have a pic of the cake in my photos if you want to look at it.

Good Luck with your cakes!!
