but didn't know where to put it. I found out that my 11 month old son is allergic to eggs. I was planning on making a simple vanilla-chocolate marble cake for his birthday next month, but the recipe I have calls for eggs. Does anybody have an eggless cake recipe for a simple vanilla or marble cake?

Here is a plain one...I'm sure you could just make this and then take 1/2 cup of the batter and add a couple Tbsp of cocoa powder to it ....to make it a marble cake.

there's a recipe on here for a vegan cake. Here's the link.

There's no eggs in it, so you might want to try it.

I overheard someone at the dentist office the other day say the she's on a website alot because her son is allergic to eggs, dairy, and peanuts. There is a cookbood she uses called something like the egg-free, nut-free, milk-free cookbook. Maybe you could amazon or google it and get some much needed recipies off of that. I'm sorry I'm not more help. good luck!

I have a child allergic to eggs also; I have used 1/4 cup apple sauce per egg for most cake and cookie recipes. Mixes that call for 3 eggs I use 2/3 cup apple sauce and this works great so the cake is moist but not falling apart. It does change the texture a little bit. Recently I tried Ener-G egg replacement for my kids birthday cakes and I was really happy with how they turned out. The box of egg replacement will go along way, I have made approximately 8 boxes of cake mix using enough for 3 eggs per mix and not used half of the stuff, and I was worried that for $6.00 it would only make 1 or 2 cakes. Here is there website http://www.ener-g.com/store/detail.aspx?sn=MilkAndEggSubstitutes&id=97&cat=8 I bought mine at Fred Meyers in the natural food section. Hope this helps.
