Hi,

I found this on Martha's website, I haven't tried it but it seems interesting. I hope I copied this link right.

those are not hollow...but they're so awesome looking...can you imagine getting one of those thinking it was a stinkin boiled egg??? Only to get a chocolate surprise...yummy!! I think for hollow eggs you would need some type of a mold!

You need to have a mold for these. You can just get a candy mold shaped like an egg. Wilton also has egg nesting set. Melt the candy melts in your micro but you have to be carefull not to burn it. Start mico set for about 20 secs max and test to see how much they have melted. The melts keep their shape most of the time even when melted. Set out cookie tray and a baking sheet underneath or just use the bowl . First you pour the choc into 1/2 of your mold and then shake it or if want paint it up the sides. Shaking and turning works for me. Make sure the half is covered turn it upside down. Put in fridge 'till it gets hard . Wait a few seconds because you need do the same process again and if the choc is still very cold it may not work. Put it in fridge again. If you think it is coated enough then very carefull invert it and tap the mold lightly and lift. You may have to try this a few time. To invert I use cake cardboards. Just because I have them. Or just leave out at room temp 'till it hardens. Just make sure that the you put the right halves. The bottom and top are different. You glue them together with melted choc. When you decorate you can then cover that seam. Before you put the 2 halves together you can put little surprises in them. Little chocolate bunnies, little animals etc.
