Ok...I'm sure this is in the forum somewhere...but I've no time to do a search for it...so I'm hoping someone can help me out. icon_redface.gif

I need to make a LOT of Antonia74's royal icing recipe and am wondering if I can double the batch? Or should I make 2 separate batches and then combine? I'm not crazy about the latter choice, simply because I'm in a time crunch. Just need to know if it doubles ok or not. Thanks for any help! You guys are great! thumbs_up.gificon_biggrin.gif

Just be sure it will fit in your bowl! The powdered sugar may go everywhere. I usually drape a towel over the top of my mixer to hold the dust down.

I've got a 6qt so I think it'll be fine...if I remember correctly, a single batch usually only fills it just shy of half full. Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

I've doubled it before and haven't had any problems.

Thanks for your help! I doubled it and it was just fine....I'd just never needed that much royal before...lol. But, believe it or not...it's all gone now! icon_eek.gificon_razz.gif Used every bit of it for cookies for DS's Easter party at school....rabbits, carrots and eggs. They turned out really cute...I'll post them in the 'April's Cookie Theme' topic this weekend. icon_smile.gif
