Hi guys !
I need help in putting one cake on top of another. Like I want to put a bear face on top of a round cake. How should I dom it??
Should I frost both the cake together and then put the face on top or shoul I frost just the base cake and then put the face on top and then frost it?????
How do you all do it. I have so many pics of doll cake put on a sheet or round cakes.

Need help.
Thanks

what kind of cake are you using for the face?
how big is the round under it?

still not sure what your trying to do.

is the face a smaller round? a half-sports ball?

on the doll cakes -- divided opinion.
some put a cake board under it and dowels to support the board.

others just plop the cake doll directly on the iced base.

If it were me..I'd use an exacto knife, trace a board with the bear face pan (or whatever pan you're using to make the bear face) and then cut it to fit. Ice the base, ice the bear face, then put the bear face on top.
I personally prefer using the board, because I never know how much the cake will settle into the base cake. Not worth the risk, IMO thumbsdown.gif

Hope that helps you!
