I recently started a webpage (not sales orders, only pictures of my work for family and friends). I am wondering at what point or when I need to get a food and bev license or permit.

Do I need one to ONLY show my photos on the internet???? I don't want to get into trouble with the food police.

I do charge people, but it's a hobbie, not a small business yet.

Is there anything else that I should know about???

Thanks everyone!
Steph

California has strict law about selling food from home - you are not allowed. You must have a commerical building even it is a hobby. I would be careful you may get a warning the first before they fine. You can have a website to shows as long as say "just for show", " cakes for family" and you may want to make sure you are not posting stuff that us copy writed. That is why a lot of bakeries do not make certain designs.

Good luck, ,maybe some one else post some more information.
