I went to the store today and thought about getting new muffin pans. I didn't realize there was the standard muffin pan (about 2 inch diameter) , that probably most people have and then there were the 3 inch in diameter muffin pans. Well, I know it shouldn't have made that much difference, but I walked out of the store without any muffin pans, because I couldn't decide which size to get.

What size do most of you like to use, or does it vary for whatever your making, i.e. muffins vs. cupcakes?

Thanks

It really depends on what you like to make and eat. The minis are great for bite size treats. I do a lot of mini cheesecakes for parties with mine.

The standard is used for cupcakes, muffins, etc. when you want a larger portion. The standard ones are used when making the cupcake cake.

And the Jumbo are for sharing in my house. More than one person should eat at a single sitting. Or for the days when the diet says you can only have one icon_biggrin.gif

All of these pans can be used for whatever you feel like baking. I have been known to use my standards for individual meatloafs when the kids were small and no one wanted the end!

Happy baking
