I have to make a graduation cake and they want an edible image put on the cake. I have never done one of these before. Can someone give me the do's and dont's of this?? Does it need to stay cool?? Can you use any frosting?? Any information is appreciated!!!!

You want to use buttercream underneath the image. If you're doing colored icing, or chocolate, you want to ice what's going to be underneath the picture white, that'll show the picture the best. Also, the cake doesn't need to be refrigerated or anything after you put the image on, it's actually best if it isn't because condensation will cause the image to bleed a little. Edible images are really easy to work with, and extremly versatile. Since it's probably going to be warm, the paper will be easy to print on, but you may have a little difficulty removing the backing. If you have troubles, just stick it in the freezer at 30 second intervals, and that should make it hard enough to pull of the backing.
