Has anyone made the coke cake from the cake mix dr book? It says to use a white cake but I used a choc cake mix instead thinking it would be more chocolatey and taste more like homemade.

However when I licked the bowl it tasted like a box cake mix.

My goal here is to find the perfect recipe for the "scratch" taste for a wedding. I have to bake it tomorrow. I'll see how this one comes out, but you just kinda know when you taste the batter, ya know?

I have a recipe for Coca Cola Cake, but it is from scratch. It is really good and very moist. It resembles German Chocolate cake. More dense and moist and a light chocolate taste. I made it for a grooms cake and everyone really liked it. If you want it let me know and I will email it to you!
