I was wondering if anyone had advice on where the best place is to purchase cookie cutters for Cookie Bouquets. Are some sizes better than others, are plastic better than metal, etc. Where is best place online to order? I would love to start making some cookie bouquets for friends for gifts. Thanks for your help!

I prefer copper to any of them, tin after that. The plastic ones aren't very good, IMO.

Any size is good, depending on the effect you are trying to achieve. I have cookie cutters from 1" to 6" and use them all.

My favorite site for copper cutters is www.coppergifts.com but they are a little pricier.

I also like www.kitchengifts.com because they have a good selection and they ship very quickly.

I just placed an order with Off the Beaten Path (www.cookiecutter.com) so we'll see. They were for the tin cutters- they are super cheap! I ordered like 30 cutters for the price of 3 copper cutters! I'm sure they will shop fast because I'm in the same city as they are!

Good luck,
Suz

I just bought a bucket of 101 cookie cutters by wilton from Michaels a couple weeks ago. It has it all, letters, numbers and tuns off shapes). They are plastic but I've never had a problem with plastic cutters. A cookie cutter is a cookie cutter to me, though I am new to this so maybe that will change.

I recently bought some at http://www.cookiecutter.com. They have a pretty good selection and are pretty cheap. I had them shipped with the cheapest shipping option and they only took 3 days to arrive.

Thanks for all of your suggestion! I am sure I will start collecting CookieCutters wherever I find them...I tend to go overboard with supplies!...lol...I just placed an online order at a place called hbcornerstore.com
ALL cookie cutters are 55 cents! They are 3" ones, so I think that is good to start with. I also bought the cookie lollipop pan from Wilton (flowers) and they are pretty big. The above webstore had TONS of different themes. I bought 16 cookie cutters for $8.80, and shipping was only $4 and change! That should keep me busy for a while!...lol

I LOVE the Wilton comfort grip cutters however they are limited on shapes. I do agree that metal give you a cleaner cut, but I use whatever is handy!

I've also gotten cookie cutters from kitchengifts and coppergifts. And from foosecutters.

It's certainly an addiction! I make some of my own patterns when I don't have the right cutter shape, but I have a HUGE collection of cutters, too!

OK, ShortNSweet, if my DH comes looking for you when my order arrives in the mail, don't blame me, LOL! icon_biggrin.gif

I found 19 cookie cutters I just had to have, thanks so much for posting that website! The prices are great, even with shipping it's less than I could have gotten them for locally, and what a great selection!

thanks!
Laura.
