This question has proably been asked a billion times but here goes...

Why do I get air bubbles that leave caved in wholes when I pipe something small like an eye but when I flood using the exact same icing in a large area I get perfectly smooth results.
I imagine that air bubbles are causing it, I do let my icing sit for a while to let the bubbles rise. It just seems odd, any advice?

yep air bubbles, i keep a tooth pick handy and pop any visible ones right after i flood or due a design. the surrounding royal will fill in the small opened spot then.
