I bought my course three student kit and signed up for the class tonight.
On the back of the box it says it contains
5 decorating tips
separator plate and pillars
lily nail
5 rose bouquet fondant cutters
*ball and veiner tool
foam squares
*fine artist's brush
cake dividing chart
*white cake sparkles
*yellow stamens
gum tex
there are pictures of all of these things as well
unfortunately when I opened the box, I found the asterisked (*) items missing.
All the items listed and pictured in my last two kits (excluding the tip104 in course two, which was replaced with a second 103) were accounted for.
Should I return the kit and ask for another with all the equipment, or is Wilton guilty of false advertising?
I really don't want to have to go and buy all the missing items separately, as money is incredibly tight right now, and once I do have the money available, I won't have the time for the class.
It's bad enough that I'm going to have to buy new cake pans, and fondant.
(our teacher is suffocatingly to the book, she will not allow any deviation or individuality for class cakes.)
I would return it. They should be in there. I just double checked my kit (start Tuesday) and all my items as pictured were there.
Just bring it to your teacher's attention that the stuff was missing when opened up the kit to check out the contents.
Return it. I work at Michaels and the Wilton area is mine. The kit does include all of the products it states. You just happened to get a bad box.
