A friend saw the fondant/gumpaste cake I did last weekend and told me this story. She and her husband attended a formal party (full evening attire )one time and at the reception was a beautiful cake with "edible" flowers etc. Instead of eating her piece of the cake she decided to just eat one of the flowers, a red rose. Tasted fine but she soon discovered that the flower has turned her mouth/teeth red, just like the rose!!! Here she was beaufitully dressed in a gown, hubby in a tux and everytime she opened her mouth to talk....all that people could see was the red!!! She was soooo embarrassed and was the talk of the evening!!
Funny to talk about now but at the time she was VERY uncomfortable, she swears she would never eat cake like that again!!
Something to keep in mind I guess and remember if I ever do "red" flowers!!!

on day my boss snuck and cut a pice of someone's birthday cake
wwhen he smiled he revieled blue teeth!

BTW~ I forgot to mention~ I work in a dental office!!
