Hi everyone!
I think this question was asked before, but I can't seem to find it using the search feature.
I need to know how many servings you can get out of the large book cake pan??
Also, if I make an 11x15 sheet to go under it (making it into a double layer cake) do you think that would be too high???
This lady wants the large book pan, but it may not be quite enough to for her guests, so I suggested making it into a double layer so that the cake will be higher and therefore she won't have to cut the pieces as big.
Hope I'm not confusing anyone!
Thanks.
The large book pan is approximately 30 servings. I'm using it for a graduation cake and was thinking the same thing about the 11x15 pan. I'm trying to figure out how to put filling between two layers and I don't think I want to go to the trouble of halving it to do so.
Hi, I made a bible for my nephew last year and as I only had the regular book pan I made a rectangular cake same size as the book and put it underneath. Made it look more like a bible, as a bible is quite a thick book anyway. I'd rather have a bit too much cake, than not enough, but as i was not selling that one, being for my nephew, it didn't matter. Had a bit left over for breakfast the next day, yum.
Thank you both for your input.
I'm just concerned that it will be too high. Do you think that will be a problem??
And if I do go double layer as I said in my post above, how many servings do you think I would get??
Thanks.
