Sorry if this has been asked before, I just want to make sure. I'm going to try to make "plaid" cookies. The cookies get flooded with their base coat. Then the plaid lines are added. These icing for these plaid lines would have to thicker than the base coat, right?

Is the base coat dried and ready to go?

Use icing that's for writing consistancy. So you would have to thicken up the icing you use for flooding a just a bit.
