okay- here is the recipe I used from teh whimsical bakehouse book.

Whipped Chocolate Ganache:
1/2 lb chocolate
1 liter heavy cream

the recipes here call for 1 lb of chocolate to 1 cup of cream.

So maybe it isn't supposed to set up until you refrigerate it??

I just made ganache for the first time yesterday and had the same results for you. So I just put it in the fridge and went to bed and in the morning...Wha La it was set. I think for it to set it has to cool.
