Ok...so the cake is in my gallery...there is also a thread on it floating around somewhere in this forum....

They were pretty easy to make...I made the "medallions" first. The background for each one was a large circle surrounded by a wavy border that I cut with my Wilton ribbon cutter. Everything is fondant....I drew my animals, taped the sketch on my wall next to my work area , mixed the colored fondant and cut each piece on each face. I used flower cutters, exacto knife, pastry tips, you name it....whatever I thought worked for the particular shape I needed. I won't go through each shape, but just for example, the ears are simply cut with a large round tip and I pinch one end with my fingertips to form a teardrop shape....then I used a wet little paintbrush to adhere each piece to one another. The next day, I baked and frosted the cupcakes, and pressed a medallion into each one....that's it.....I think this would be a great project for kids! Thanks for asking!
