Does anyone know (or know where to find info. on) all of the legal issues for the state of KY (kentucky) as far as starting a cake decorating business is concerned?

Is every county different?

My husband has a auto sales business and while I know that is different from a cake business, we had to go to Frankfort to get all the permits and licenses for his business. Maybe you could contact someone with a business like a small grocery and they could give you a number or could point you in the right direction.

Some cities also have the information or steps that you need to go through outlined on their government websites. I found a little information about starting a business in Charlotte, North Carolina by going to the Mecklenburg County website. Maybe your city has a website also.
Good Luck.

Do you know where to find out if your city has a website?

Umm, I'm not sure for your area, but for Charlotte I just typed in www.charmeck.org and their website with all their various departments came up. You may be able to type your county and put dot org at the end or try your state and see if there's a link to it from their homepage. Good Luck.
